INPATIENT UNIT
The Vesta House is a Hospice Inpatient Unit designed to meet the needs of patients and their families in a deinstitutionalized, home-like environment. Although The Villa is available mainly to patients requiring short-term intensive care for symptoms unmanageable at home, it is also appropriate for patients approaching the end-stage of their illness. Hospice patients can also stay at The Villa for 5 days under Respite Care to provide relief or rest for family and caregivers. Skilled care is provided by a hospice team of dedicated, compassionate professionals.

Transferring Patients
At the Villa, our patients are evaluated daily for symptom management and stabilization by our professional medical staff. Once a patient has achieved favorable conditions, our team works with family members on transferring patients back to their homes. In all aspects of care, the Holy Cross Hospice goal is to retain symptom control and comfort for all patients so they may return to their places of residence.
